Take payments using Dynamic Currency Conversion
Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) is a payment method that allows you to offer international customers the choice to make purchases using the local currency (U.S. dollars) or their card's native currency at the time of the sale.
DCC converts currency in real time to eliminate a customer's need to mentally convert the cost of their purchases in U.S. dollars to their native currency. DCC is available to customers who use a credit card or a Visa or Mastercard debit card.
Note: DCC is not currently supported by Interac, Maestro, and Interlink debit cards.
Select a DCC payment option
- When DCC is enabled on your payment terminal, your customer is presented with an option to select either the local currency (U.S. dollars) or their card's native currency at the time of the sale.
- Select the desired currency option based on the customer's preference.
To disable DCC on your terminal, please contact the help desk or your dedicated account manager.
